RoundGlass Music Awards recognise the most enlightened musicians who create music for Wellness, Peace and Environmental Consciousness.


Wellness Music

There are multiple definitions and perspectives of what constitutes Wellness Music. We are looking for your personal interpretation. This could be in any genre or form, something you truly feel brings about wellness of the individual or community in any form.


Music for Peace

Songs or instrumentals in any genre about Conflict Avoidance, Anti-War Themes, Philosophical debates, Freedom from disturbance, Tranquility, or just Personal Inner Peace.


Music for Environmental Consciousness

Songs or instrumentals in any genre celebrating Nature, the Environment, Wild-Life, Bio-diversity or songs of activism.

Wesley Van Linda

Co-founder of the New Age pioneer label Narada Music Group was president and CEO from 1992 – 2005. The Narada group included several record labels in the New Age, Jazz, Americana and World Music genres. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Narada had offices in Los Angeles and Eindhoven, Holland. During his career in the music business, Wesley worked with such artists as Ramsey Lewis, Tony Levin, the Neville Brothers, the Sub Dudes, Blind Boys of Alabama, Kathy Matea, David Lanz, Flora Purim, Altan, Peter Buffett, Jesse Cook, Susheela Raman, Lila Downs and many, many others. Narada was the US distributor of Peter Gabriel’s Real World label and distributed David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label worldwide.


Denise Donatelli

Denise is a multi Grammy nominated Jazz vocalist alternating between Jazz and Adult Contemporary music. Her last three recordings have received a combined total of 4 Grammy nominations. Three for Best Jazz Vocal Album and one nomination in the Best Arrangement category. In addition, The Los Angeles Jazz Society honored Denise with the 2012 Jazz Vocalist of the Year Award. She has been elected to the DOWNBEAT Critics Poll Female Vocalist Rising Star for three consecutive years. Denise supports the American Heart Association and performs annually at their Heart Walk in Los Angeles.


Jim Brickman

Jim’s distinctive piano style and captivating live performances have revolutionized the popularity of instrumental music, making him a driving force behind modern American music. The hit-making songwriter is the best-selling solo pianist of our time earning 21 Number One albums and 32 Top 20 Radio Singles in the industry bible, “Billboard Magazine.” He’s garnered two Grammy nominations, gospel music’s Dove Award, two SESAC Songwriter of the Year Awards, and the Canadian Country Music Award. He also has a music scholarship named for him by his alma mater, the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. His and star-studded vocal collaborations, have crossed genres to feature luminaries like, Martina McBride, Carly Simon, Lady Antebellum, Michael W. Smith, Herb Alpert, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond, Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Johnny Mathis, Kenny Loggins, Jane Krakowski, and a host of country, R&B, Broadway, pop, and jazz musicians.


Ben Patterson

Ben Patterson founded DashGo in 2007 and serves as its CEO. DashGo provides worldwide digital distribution and services for over 10,000 artists. Ben Patterson also served as Vice President of Business Development and Operations for Topps Digital Services. Prior to DashGo, he served as Executive VP at GMG Entertainment developing music brand strategies for Target, Sony and Ford among other clients; and as Senior VP of Business Development and New Media at The Firm, directing digital revenue and marketing strategies for clients including The Dixie Chicks, Linkin Park, Enrique Iglesias, Backstreet Boys and Audioslave.


Gustavo Lopez

Gustavo Lopez holds over 20 years of expansive knowledge as a leader in the music industry. Lopez has worked with superstars such as Enrique Iglesias, Juan Gabriel, Juanes, Los Tigres Del Norte, Jenni Rivera, Luis Fonsi, Alejandro Fernandez and Don Omar to name a few. Gustavo Lopez was honored by Billboard Magazine on the prestigious “40 under 40” list. Over the past 10 years Lopez has been heavily involved in the development of Latino artists and music. The seasoned music executive, who most recently served as GM/EVP of Universal Music Latin Entertainment, has recently launched a new entertainment company for Latin music. Los Angeles based Talento Uno Music will offer services in artist development, distribution, digital, branding, publishing, influencer management and live events.


Michele Ito

Michele has a background in worldwide live touring, record label services, publishing administration and artist development and management. She founded and currently runs BFM Jazz, a Jazz record label representing internationally acclaimed, Grammy honored artists including Tierney Sutton, Steve Gadd, John Daversa, Larry Goldings and Luis Conte. In addition, Michele directs a non-profit arts organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of modern dance through the Michio Ito Foundation which facilitates dance workshops and performances of modern dance pioneer Ito’s work in the US and in Japan


Inon Zur

Classically trained with a flair for powerful, melodic orchestral writing, Zur’s rich portfolio spans epic action/adventure genres and ethereal fantasy scores for some of the most highly anticipated video game titles including multiple entries in the Dragon Age series, The Lord of the Rings and the Prince of Persia series. His best-selling soundtrack for the critically acclaimed Fallout 4 was selected as one of the best video game scores of 2015 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, PlayStation Awards, FACT Magazine, Paste Magazine and Classic FM. His recent game projects include Eagle Flight and Syberia 3. The Fallout 4 official trailer featuring Inon’s score has received over 30 million YouTube views, and the soundtrack hit No. 2 on the iTunes soundtrack chart. The scores have earned him two BAFTA nominations for “Best Original Music” as well as nods from The Game Awards and Spike TV.


Ron Mendelsohn

Ron is co-founder and CEO of Megatrax, a leading independent production music library and custom music house based in Los Angeles. Established in 1990, Megatrax has earned a worldwide reputation for quality music. In addition to managing business operations at Megatrax, Ron is also an accomplished pianist and composer and has scored numerous film/TV projects ranging from promos to feature films. A tireless advocate for music rights, Ron is a frequent speaker on industry panels and the author of numerous articles and blogs on topics related to maintaining copyright value. Ron is a founding member of the Production Music Association and has served on the PMA board since its inception, as well as a member of numerous other professional organizations including the Society of Composers and Lyricists, Vistage and ASCAP.


Carl Ogawa

Carl worked closely with Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo for over 10 years in a number of capacities. He served as music contractor for William Olvis on Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman for four seasons. He has since worked as an assistant to American film and television writer and producer, Greg Berlanti at Berlanti Productions for the last 15 years on such TV shows Supergirl, Arrow, Riverdale, Blindspot, Mysteries of Laura and The Flash.


Greg Katz

Label founder, Greg, has a prominent place in the forefront of today’s digital music explosion yet possesses a diverse music industry background in such areas as publishing, management, production and performing. As A&R director for boutique music publisher, Defend, Greg was instrumental in securing the classic copyrights for Kanye West’s epochal “Monster,” Scott Klass’s “5 Steps” (the theme song of long-running TV show “Intervention”), and the catalog of funk innovators Vulfpeck. Greg also manages writer/producer Rogét Chahayed, whose songwriting and production credits include Halsey, Travis Scott, Calvin Harris, and “Broccoli” the five-times platinum smash by D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty.


Noah Becker

Noah serves as CEO at AdRev, a global leader in YouTube monetization, administration & strategy, music distribution, proprietary music and media software development. AdRev administers over 10 million copyrights. He also has a diverse background as both a longtime composer/producer and music industry insider. As a composer/producer with an affinity for Pop and EDM, he has engineered multiple Billboard #1 Dance Club Play remixes, works with several production music libraries and publishers, and has a deep passion and concern for the vitality of the creative class.


Mike Gormley

40+ year industry veteran, Mike founded L.A. Personal Development (L.A.P.D.) with Miles Copland and was President of the management firm for over 20 years, before launching Yes, Dear Entertainment. Over the years, Mike has managed several major acts from their early days through to major international recognition including The Bangles and Oingo Boingo. Mike was instrumental in convincing Danny Elfman to write the score for Tim Burton’s first movie “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” setting up the beginning of Elfman’s climb to the top of the film composer world. Over the years mike has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Rod Stewart, The New York Dolls, Rush, The Police, Supertramp, Herb Alpert, Styx and Peter Frampton. Mike also established the UCLA Extension’s continuing education program called, “The Insider’s Guide to Music Management.


Rod Linnum (Jury Chairman)

Music industry veteran, Rod Linnum has worked in virtually every possible capacity including retail, radio promotion, major label distribution, digital distribution, label management, licensing, artist development and compilation / playlist content curation. He was a former VP of Sales for Universal where he was instrumental in launching their successful Latin sales division. During his 40 plus years in the business Rod has created or produced over 800 album releases and has played a major part in numerous artists careers.
